Print-on-Demand Image Preparation

Review product dimensions, transparency, export format, and artwork quality before a print-on-demand upload.

This dedicated tool is not available yet. No launch date has been announced.

Start with the product’s print template

A shirt, poster, and mug do not share one universal artwork size. Open the destination product’s current file guidelines and template first. Compare the required print area with your source dimensions, position important details within the safe area, and remove template guides before export.

Use the current image resizer for a supported dimensional adjustment, then inspect the saved file at its intended print size. Check transparency and edge quality against both light and dark backgrounds where relevant. Enlarging pixel dimensions alone does not create missing detail, and a screen preview cannot guarantee the printed result.

Common questions

Is there one image size for every print-on-demand product?

No. The required dimensions, safe area, format, and transparency depend on the product and printing method. Use the current template supplied by your print provider rather than a generic marketplace preset.

Does changing the DPI number make a small image print sharply?

No. Print detail depends on the available pixels and the size at which they are printed. Merely changing a resolution field does not add captured detail. Review the source artwork and order a sample when print quality is important.
